Forcing a relationship to stay alive may be caused by several reasons.
A. You may be trying to transform a casual friendship into a romantic one. Among your male friends, there may be one you are very close to; if he is not interested in you romantically, you may make mistake of initiating a romantic dimention into your friendship thinking that, if you care a lot for him, the feeling may be mutual.
The problem with this sort of situation is that if a man does not initiate a romantic relationship with you, he most probably has his mind set on another lady and is interested in you as a very close friend or confidant. Even if you convince him that things will work out between you, his heart will never in the relationship.
B. You are in relationship with a man you are not compatible with. For a relationship to succeed, you both must be socially, spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically compatible. If you are not compatible but you will try to force the relationship to work, you will end up compromising your integrity, dignity and values.
C. The man was in love with you before but he no longer is because there is another woman he likes more than you or he just feels than you are not the one for him.
Never force relationship to work. If the love and respect is not mutual between you, it will result in emotional torture for you. If he is no longer interested in a romantic relationship, then it is time to move on with your life.
If you are unfulfilled, dissatisfied or always scared of losing him to another more attractive, richer, more educated and enlightened woman, then you are in an unhealthy relationship.
Stop forcing it to work. Let the man go. God has something better in store for you
